WITH Warrington back open for business as lockdown restrictions ease, Conservative Party Co-Chairman Amanda Milling MP was invited to Warrington South constituency as part of a tour of the North West to see how businesses have adapted.

During the visit she checked out the new Warrington Market which only opened its doors to customers last week and is already proving to be a huge success so far with lots of traders stunned by its popularity, buying more and more stock each day.
Speaking about the visit, she said: “I’d like to thank Warrington Conservatives and MP Andy Carter for the tour of the new state-of-the-art market to see how they have adapted under new guidelines.
“It is great to see that it has been a huge success for the town so far.
“Throughout this crisis the Government has protected millions of jobs and livelihoods, but now is the time to get businesses back on their feet and kickstart the economy in the region.
“Our plan for jobs is about supporting and creating jobs, boosting growth and aiding our economic recovery from coronavirus. We promised to level up towns across the North West and we remain committed to doing just that.

Mr Carter added:”We have some fantastic local independent businesses here in Warrington. Businesses which are at the heart of our community. Speaking to the likes of Hancock and Wood who are one of the oldest retailers in the town and Steve at Moran’s of Warrington, I know just how hard it has been and it’s great to see them thriving again.
“Those involved in the new market hall have done a fantastic job to get ready for reopening and this is telling in the amount of custom that is already coming through the door. I would encourage more people to get out and support them to get the great British high-street back on its feet.
He concluded: “As we start the process of recovery from Covid-19 I’m determined to bring more investment to Warrington.”
