Recycling skip full again!

WITHIN a few days of being emptied the recycling skip at Lymm’s Davies Way car park was over flowing again – with household waste.

While local Cllr Kath Buckley is appealing to use the facility properly, she is also calling on Warrington Borough Council to re-open the Sandy Lane tip at Stockton Heath, which serves the south of the borough.
Cllr Buckley said: “I’ve received more complaints about the overflowing recycling skip.
“I have raised the question with the Council about reopening the Sandy Lane Household Recycling Centre at one of our Q and A sessions. They say it is down to man power and health and safety.
“I have raised the issue of the increase in fly tipping and said it needs to be open to alleviate pressure on local skips.
“But we also need people to use the skips properly and not just dump all their household waste in a skip which is for recycling.”
