Warrington leading the way – something we should never forget

0

DURING some of our darkest days the human spirit and endeavour in Warrington never ceases to amaze me.

With many billions of pounds being invested around the world to find a solution to the COVID-19 pandemic, who would have thought a small team at Warrington Hospital would come up with a way to treat patients and reduce the death toll caused by this terrible disease. Absolutely amazing and something we should never forget at the end of this difficult period in our history.
We should also never forget our hardworking frontline workers, many putting their own lives on the line to help others – and then of course all the amazing community groups who have sprung up in our town’s hour of need.
We have been inundated with amazing positive news stories and sorry if we have not managed to give you the coverage you deserve.
But these are indeed testing times for many, including the local media who have seen most income streams dry up as many businesses have ceased trading or stopped advertising.
As a result we are continuing to operate with reduced resources but will carry on undeterred thanks to all the many acts of great kindness and courage taking place in the town we love.
Take care, stay strong and most importantly stay home to save lives!
