Patton in Wolves squad for Castleford clash

DECLAN Patton is the only change to Steve Price’s Warrington Wolves squad for Friday night’s game at home to Castleford Tigers.

Patton played for Widnes on dual-registration at Dewsbury last weekend, and speculation in this week’s rugby league press says that he has been told he can leave the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

His last appearance for the Wolves was against Castleford in last season’s Super League play-off defeat.

But he has been drafted in to Price’s squad in place of Ellis Robson, who also turned out for the Vikings on Sunday, scoring a try.

Warrington will be keen to bounce back from their 36-0 mauling at the hands of Leeds last week, and maintain their 100% home record.

Squad: Sitaleki Akauola, Blake Austin, Keanan Brand, Luther Burrell, Josh Charnley, Daryl Clark, Jason Clark, Mike Cooper, Ben Currie, Matt Davis, Chris Hill, Luis Johnson, Toby King, Tom Lineham, Jake Mamo, Ben Murdoch-Masila, Declan Patton, Joe Philbin, Stefan Ratchford, Danny Walker, Gareth Widdop.
