Wolves unchanged for visit of Toronto Wolfpack

WARRINGTON Wolves have named an unchanged 21-man squad for the visit of Toronto Wolfpack on Friday.

Unlike most of their Super League counterparts, it won’t be the first time Warrington have faced the Canadian side – having beat them 66-10 in a hot-tempered Challenge Cup clash in 2018.

It’s the first of two successive games at the Halliwell Jones Stadium for the Wolfpack, who will have a “home” game against St Helens at the ground next Saturday.

The Wolves suffered a second defeat in three games on Sunday, as they went down 18-8 at Wakefield – though they have won their only home game this campaign, 19-0 against champions St Helens a fortnight ago.

Centre Anthony Gelling is still suspended pending investigation, while Jack Hughes is still missing through injury and Chris Hill through suspension.

Leilani Latu and Dec Patton both played for Widnes on dual-registration last week, but aren’t named in the Wolves squad once again.

Warrington 21-man squad: Sitaleki Akauola, Matty Ashton, Blake Austin, Keanan Brand, Luther Burrell, Josh Charnley, Daryl Clark, Jason Clark, Mike Cooper, Ben Currie, Matt Davis, Luis Johnson, Toby King, Tom Lineham, Jake Mamo, Ben Murdoch-Masila, Joe Philbin, Stefan Ratchford, Ellis Robson, Danny Walker, Gareth Widdop
