Design team unveil scheme for airport lounge

WARRINGTON-based architectural and interior design specialists DV8 Designs have revealed their latest interior design project for prestigious airport lounge brand Aspire.
The lounges, within the new terminal building at Edinburgh Airport, offer a space and amenities that ensure each stay is a rewarding and relaxing experience.
DV8 Designs drew from their extensive experience of designing high-end restaurants and boutique hotels, creating a sophisticated yet comfortable space where passengers can work, relax and socialise. The new intricate ceiling installations subtly create different zones within the lounge, from drinking and dining to a quieter working area, and creating a remarkable interior design feature. The interior design team took inspiration from aviation and the ‘A’ of the Aspire brand name, which went on to inform the central feature display unit, the bespoke bookcases and the design of the upholstery.
The contemporary new scheme features the signature lilac palate of the Aspire brand which is complimented by rich shades of teal, mustard and metallic accents throughout the space. The lounge displays a series of striking graphic murals designed to feature as a backdrop within the bespoke acoustic booths and servery areas that are unique to the project, highlighting many playful features of the locality from the Falkirk Kelpies to Edinburgh-born Sean Connery.
DV8 Designs director Lee Birchall said: “As a team we are incredibly proud of the finished product at Aspire Edinburgh. Together we’ve created an inviting space that blends striking interior design and innovation with comfort and luxury. Our business and travel needs are changing at such a rapid rate and we’re excited to see Aspire tailoring their offer so intuitively to their customer, to become the leading brand of airport lounges.”
