A crash near Warburton Toll Bridge near Lymm, caused heavy traffic delays on Friday afternoon.
The crash happened at around 2.40pm and involved just one vehicle which ended up on its roof.
There were reports of heavy flooding on roads in the area following a down pour of rain.
Police closed Townfield Lane at its junction with Paddock Lane causing traffic delays in the area.
One person was reported trapped in a vehicle but was released with the assistance of emergency services.
The Toll bridge remain opened but there were lengthy delays from Partington towards Lymm.
