ROSEBANK Naturegarten at Lymm welcomed 250 visitors to explore its grounds at a special open day.

Visitors could see the bog garden, the bug hotel, allotment, play areas, forest trail and the wild areas. Tea and cakes were also served.

It was a great day for children as well with face-painting, mud-kitchens, forest fun, watching tadpoles and climbing trees. Children were also able to plant potatoes, courgettes, peas and wild flowers as well as observe some of the bird nests in the garden. The vegetables will later be harvested and eaten by children at the nursery.

Everyone enjoyed the day, with many older visitors commenting on how they remembered their children or grandchildren coming to The Rosebank Centre and Naturegarten over the years.
Later this year Rosebank Naturegarten will be celebrating its 10th year since opening in 2009.

The Rosebank Centre now caters for children from three months to three years while Rosebank Naturegarten provides nursery education and care for 3-5 year olds and a before/after-school club for children at Ravenbank School.
