WARRINGTON Police are appealing for help from the public after a 16-year-old boy was threatened with a knife and robbed while cycling through Sankey Valley Park.
The incient took place 6.48pm last Sunday (Sept 1) when a 16-year-old boy was riding his bike through Sankey Valley Park on the footpath near to Lodge Lane, when he was approached by two youths on one bike coming from the direction of Lockton Lane.
One of the youths pulled out a knife and threatened him to hand over his personal belongings. The boy refused and one of them punched him in the face, rifled through his pockets and stole his wallet. Both men then rode off into Sankey Valley Park.
The youth who used the knife is described as a white male, aged approximately 17-years-old and around 5ft 7 in height. He was wearing a dark grey zipped-up hooded jumper with the hood up, black tracksuit bottoms and black woolly gloves. He was riding a black and red mountain bike and spoke with a slight Liverpudlian accent.
The boy who assaulted the victim is described as white, with freckles on his face, believed to be aged approximately 17-years-old and slightly taller than 5ft 7 in height. He was wearing a black zip-up style top with the hood up and black tracksuit bottoms.
