WARRINGTON & Vale Royal College is celebrating some of the highest pass rates in England, with the latest figures ranking it in the top 10 colleges nationally for the third consecutive year.

Statistics from the Further Education and Skills Agency (March 2019) put the college in the top 5% of General Further Education (GFE) colleges, with 96.4% of its cohort passing their qualifications.

These figures put the college 3.8 percentage points above the sector average, higher than colleges in the surrounding area.

Nichola Newton, Principal and Chief Executive of Warrington & Vale Royal College, said: “We’re delighted to be ranked within the top 10 General Further Education colleges in the UK for pass rates for the third year running. This fantastic achievement reflects the continued hard work and dedication of our staff and students in maintaining our status as a first-rate further education provider.

“The college has come a long way in recent years and these figures demonstrate that. As a college, we are passionate about ensuring every single one of our learners – no matter what their age – leaves us having achieved their qualification and with the opportunities and career prospects they deserve.”
