Early morning fire at town centre store

FIRE crews were called out early today to a blaze at the Iceland store in Crosfield Street, Warrington.
On arrival crews found the fire involving a freezer had been extinguished by staff using a dry powder extinguisher but that the store was smoke logged.
The electricity supply to the freezer was isolated and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a large fan to clear smoke from the store.
The freezer was taken outside and cooled down using a hose reel jet.
Fire crews were in attendance for around 45 minutes.
