WARRINGTON Wolves bounced back from their Good Friday disappointment with a 54-6 hammering of Hull KR.

They scored nine tries, including 36 unanswered second half points, to keep up the pressure on Super League leaders St Helens.

Ben Crooks put Rovers, who had lost 56-12 to Hull on Friday, in to an early lead before Blake Austin got the Wolves on the board to calm their nerves.

It was 18-6 at half time after converted scores by Tom Lineham and Joe Philbin, before the Wolves ran riot after the break.

Austin set up Josh Charnley for a try just a minute after the restart and Bryson Goodwin’s score five minutes later made it a case of by how many rather than if.

Philbin got his second try, as did Lineham, with Toby King and Sitaleki Akauola also getting on the scoresheet.
