WARRINGTON Wolves marched on in Super League with an outstanding 12-63 win at Hull FC on Friday night.

Marquee man Blake Austin was star of the show, scoring four tries and setting up several others as the Wolves ran in 11 tries in total.

Austin even had the cheek to slot over a last minute drop goal to rub salt in the wounds of a sorry Hull side, who lost 80-10 in the same fixture last season.

The game was over as a contest inside 20 minutes, as the relentless Wolves scored four tries to lead 30-0 in no time.

Two of those were scored by Austin, with Daryl Clark and the first two of Josh Charnley’s hat-trick putting them in command.

Austin sealed his hat-trick before half time, though Hull did get on the board through Albert Kelly right before the break as they trailed 34-6.

The tries came at steady intervals in the second half, Ben Murdoch-Masila getting the second half scoring underway inside two minutes of the restart, before Austin’s fourth.

Tom Lineham got over on the hour, before Charnley rounded off his hat-trick.

Jordan Lane stopped the rot for Hull for their second try, but Lineham would snare an interception against his former club in a statement performance by Steve Price’s men.

After the game Head Coach Steve Price said: “”I am ecstatic for the playing group. That’s been building for a while now.”
