THE Women’s Challenge Cup final is being held at the Halliwell Jones Stadium this weekend, with hopes that it will lead to the 2021 Women’s Rugby League World Cup final being held in the town too.

Castleford take on Leeds in the headline event on Saturday afternoon at 3pm, with Bradford taking on Stanningley in the Shield final at 1pm.

By hosting the event, Warrington Wolves hope to show the Rugby Football League that the town loves rugby league.

Warrington’s bid to be a host town/city for the 2021 World Cup was launched recently.

Admission for this Saturday’s event are £5 for adults, free for children, entry is through the Brian Bevan statue turnstiles.
