VIDEO: LYMM’S annual Dickensian Festival had it all – hundreds of dashing santas, elfs, Christmas puddings and even snow – as thousands of people packed into the village.

While event Chairman Steve Harper was being interviewed live on warrington-worldwide snow fluttered from the skies creating an extra special festive atmosphere as Town Crier Peter Powell prepared to lead the parade from the Lymm Hotel and into the village.

Despite the snow, sleet and cold weather thousands of people lined the streets and packed into the village centre ensuring a brisk trade for many businesses – especially those offering food and drink.

Local school children entered into the spirit of the occasion dressing in various costumes as musical bands, morris dancer and dance troupes entertained the crowds.

As the parade reached the old council chamber on Whitbarrow Road, nearly 200 members of Lymm Runners set off on their annual 5k Santa Dash.
