POLICE are investigating after an abandoned moped was found ablaze on the playing fields at Ship Street, Frodsham.
A fire crew from Runcorn was called to the scene yesterday afternoon and extinguished the blaze using a hose reel jet.
It is believed the fire was the work of arsonists and anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101 or via the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline 0800 555 111.
