Viola Beach inquest next week

THE inquest into the tragic deaths of Warrington indie band Viola Beach will take place next week.

Kris Leonard, 20, River Reeves, 19, Jack Dakin, 19, and Tomas Lowe, 27and their manager Craig Tarry were all killed in a car crash in Stockholm, Sweden, in February.

They died after their Nissan Qashqai crashed through a bridge barrier and dropped more than 80ft into a canal below.

Senior coroner for Cheshire, Nicholas Rheinberg will examine the circumstance surrounding the tragedy at a joint inquest at Warrington town hall next Wednesday, December 7

The band had been in Sweden performing at Where’s the Music Festival in Norrköping.

It’s understood they were on their way back to the airport when the crash happened.
