Wire appoint new CEO

Warrington Wolves have confirmed the appointment of Karl Fitzpatrick as the club’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Fitzpatrick, who is currently Head of Rugby Operations, will take up the new role from 1st January 2017.

“It is a privilege and honour to be promoted in to this position,” said Fitzpatrick.

“Based on a philosophy of continuous improvement and actively listening to our sponsors and supporters I will be part of a great team that will proceed to enhance the Warrington brand.

“In recent years there has been positive momentum gained both off and on the pitch it is important this is maintained.

“I’m also looking forward to continue working with one of the best managers in the game, Tony Smith. I’d like to thank Simon (Moran) and his Board of Directors for providing this opportunity.”

Club chairman Professor Steven Broomhead said: “The Board are very pleased to appoint Karl, as he brings with him a rich experience in the sport.

“It is good to appoint an individual who has invested so strongly in his own personal development and that of others.

“We are certain that Karl with build on the positive momentum we have established at the Wolves in the past couple of years.”

Norman Summers will hold the position off interim Chief Executive until January.
