Spooky Halloween happenings at Walton Hall

There’s something mysterious going on at Walton Hall this Halloween…

Count Yor-Money has inherited his family’s fortune after they were all murdered in their Transylvanian castle, and he is the last surviving member.

Thirteen years later and newly relocated to the UK, the Count brings together all those suspected of the gruesome deed: Dr Dorris Finklestine, Annabelle Lecter and Harry Palms, to finally find and punish the culprit.

All will be revealed when you take ‘A Bite With The Count’.

Walton Hall will be hosting this pre-Halloween event on Friday 29 October. Starting at 7.15pm, the evening will include a welcome drink and a three course dinner, during which the mystery will unfold.

Larger than life characters will mingle with guests during pre-dinner drinks, dropping clues and red herrings, while setting the scene for what is to follow.

Suddenly a shot, a scream, and somebody falls dead before your very eyes! From then on, it’s up to you to solve the whodunnit, as a series of interactive and highly entertaining scenes are performed between each course, with the culprit being revealed over coffee.

Guests will be able to interrogate suspects and try and solve the crime. If you guess right, you’ll win a prize. You are not expected to dress up, but can do if you wish, to get into the Halloween spirit.

Councillor Tony Higgins, executive board member for culture, leisure and community, said: “This is the first time we have staged a Halloween event at Walton Hall and we hope people who fancy themselves as detectives will be intrigued to come along, enjoy dinner and enter into the spirit of the spooky evening.

“It is certainly the most perfect setting and promises to be very entertaining!”

Tickets for the event are £29.50 per person and can be bought in advance at www.warrington.gov.uk/waltongardens
