CHRIS Sandow has been named in the Warrington Wolves squad for Saturday’s Super League Grand Final against Wigan Warriors.

Head Coach Tony Smith has insisted in the press this week that his star half-back wouldn’t be risked if not fit, and he has now been included in the 19-man line-up for the season finale at Old Trafford.

He could resume his partnership with Kurt Gidley, while youngster Declan Patton, who has been in fine form in Sandow’s absence, is also included.

Morgan Smith drops out, while the Wolves are without the injured Ben Currie and Ben Westwood.

Winger Kevin Penny is also another unfortunate absentee.

For Wigan, captain Sean O’Loughlin and marquee player Sam Tomkins are both out injured.

Warrington 19-man squad: Atkins, Bailey, Clark, Dwyer, Evans, Gidley, Hill, Hughes, G King, T King, Lineham, Patton, Philbin, Ratchford, Russell, Sandow, Sims, Westerman, Wilde.

Wigan 19-man squad: Bateman, Bretherton, Charnley, Crosby, Farrell, Flower, Gelling, Gildart, Isa, Nuuausala, Powell, Sarginson, Shorrocks, Smith, Sutton, Tautai, Tierney, Wells, Williams.
