NEWLY-elected Mayor of Frodsham, Cllr Mallie Poulton, embarked on his new role with a Civic Service at St Laurence church with his Mayoress, Mrs Jean Johnson.
The regular church congregation was joined by a large contingent of his supporters, including the Lord Mayor of Chester and her Consort and the Mayors and Consorts of Winsford, Neston and Ellesmere Port.
Councillors from local councils, church dignitaries and a large number of family and friends.
The service was followed by receptions at the Ring’o’Bells and Frodsham Golf Club.
Among the good wishes received was a beautiful hand-made card from the children of Weaver Vale Primary School in Cllr Poulton’s Waterside Ward.
The Mayor and Mayoress are kick-starting their fundraising with a spectacular Queen’s Birthday weekend in Castle Park on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 10, 11 and 12.
Their charities are Frodsham Community Centre, St Laurence’s Church and the Cheshire Asbestos Victim Support Group.
