Spring View 6 Latchford Albion 34

LATCHFORD’S  unbeaten start to the season continued with a comprehensive win at Spring View.
Albion were quick out of the blocks and opened a 12-0 lead in the first 10 minutes through tries
from Danny Brown and Ryan Skidmore with Luke Hickman converting both.
The home side responded with a converted try but Connor Muir marked his return from injury with a well taken try which again Hickman converted.
The half time score was 6-18.
The impressive Stu Simm put the game out of the home side’s reach when he brushed aside two defenders to squeeze in at the corner.
Latchford continued to dominate and Ryan Hickman and Lewis Wightman both crossed with Luke Hickman adding the extras to seal a great team performance.
Undefeated after four games, Latchford are attracting quality players as a result of the opening of the new Victoria Park arena and the club is in its strongest position for some years.
Coach Lee Smith said: “The success we are encountering is as a result of the hard work the club has put in over the last couple of seasons both on and off the field.
“Our collisions in the tackle are unbelievable, As a group it is where we have focused our attention and we are reaping the rewards.
“There are still a few players who haven’t been fully available for various reasons but all together this is the most talented squad of players I’ve been involved with. which points to a sustained period of success.”
Albion’s next game is at home to Golborne Parkside on Saturday May 7at 2.30pm at the Victoria park arena.
