Public meeting to discuss transport and highway issues

THE first in a series of public meetings to discuss the proposed Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub is to take place on Tuesday, April 19.
Leisure, lifestyle and library provider LiveWire will hold the event at Great Sankey Leisure Centre to discuss transport and highway issues around the new hub.
Representatives from LiveWire and Warrington Borough Council will talks through the plans for the development and answer questions from the public.
Enabling works to provide a new car park and access road to the site from Lingley Green Avenue are set to start within the next month.
Construction on the main building to add a glass frontage and to dramatically transform its layout adding a smart library, café area and health care facilities will begin in the summer.
April 19’s event will take place in the dance studio at Great Sankey Leisure Centre at 6pm.
Jan Souness, strategic lead for transformational projects at LiveWire, said:“This event will give residents in Great Sankey and parents whose children attend Great Sankey High School the opportunity to learn more about the transport and highway changes that will be made during the work to transform the existing leisure centre into a neighbourhood hub.”
