AS expected, Warrington Wolves will be without star scrum-half Chris Sandow for Friday’s visit of St Helens.

Sandow was injured in the win over Wigan on Friday night and could be sidelined for up to eight weeks.

Tony Smith has named a 19-man squad as the Wolves look to maintain their berth at the top of the Super League table.

Youngster Dec Patton is in line to make only his second Super League appearance of the season. He featured in the 26-24 defeat to Hull on Easter Monday, to date the Wolves’ only defeat this season.

Meanwhile, Sandow has been named First Utility Super League Player of the Month – for the second consecutive month.

Wolves squad: Ryan Atkins, Daryl Clark, Jordan Cox, Ben Currie, Rhys Evans, Kurt Gidley, Chris Hill, Jack Hughes, Benjamin Julien, George King, Tom Lineham, Declan Patton, Kevin Penny, Joe Philbin, Stefan Ratchford, Matty Russell, Ashton Sims, Joe Westerman, Ben Westwood.
