WARRINGTON-based CAT Radio – the University of Chester’s student radio station – has won this year’s Student Radio Association’s award for the Best Training Initiative.
The radio station, based at the university’s Warrington Campus, is managed by students on the radio production programme.
In addition to their lecturers’ tuition, supervision and guidance, the programme’s third year students are responsible for managing and supporting first year students in their development of radio
broadcasts.
It was for this initiative that the station won this award – announced at the National Student Radio Conference in Cardiff.
