Residents flee from smoke-filled property

RESIDENTS escaped from a smoke-filled property at Warrington today after fire broke out on the first floor.
The blaze was in a two-storey property in Anderson Close, Longbarn shortly before 12 noon.
Fire engines from Warrington and Stockton Heath were called to the scene following reports of smoke coming from first floor win dows.
Crews used a h ose reel jet to extinguish the fire and then used a ventilation unit to clear smoke from the property.
There were no reports of injuries.
