THE flag above Warrington Town Hall is today flying at half-mast in tribute to the lives lost in the terrorist attacks in Brussels.
Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Geoff Settle, said: “On behalf of the people of Warrington I send our deepest sympathies to the people of Brussels and especially to the families of the victims affected by this latest atrocity. Our hearts go out to all of them.”
Warrington Borough Council, in common with local authorities across Europe, today observed a one-minute silence.
The flag will remain at half-mast until 9pm tomorrow in line with government guidelines.
