GREEN bin collections will resume in Warrington from tomorrow (Tuesday) – so it’s time to get out in the garden.
Householders can check the collection calendar on their bin or visit https://www.warrington.gov.uk/ to find out their own first collection date.
Cllr Judith Guthrie, (pictured) the borough council’s lead member for environment, public protection and climate change, said: “We would like to thank residents for their support in recycling and composting over the last year.
“We have now composted over 120,000 tonnes of garden waste since the scheme started in 2006. Last year we gave away 20 tonnes of free compost as a thank you for using the green bins and we are planning more compost give-away events this year.”
