Celebrate female fitness on International Women’s Day

WARRINGTON wellbeing company LiveWire is hosting a number of female-only fitness sessions to celebrate International Women’s Day on Tuesday, March 8.
There will be classes for school children at William Beamont High School with an instructor delivering boxing, tennis and self-defence sessions for girls in years Nine, 10 and 11 and events at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub kick off with an after school body conditioning session at 4.30pm followed by a high energy street dance session at 5.45pm.
There will then be a chance to take a dip in the pool with an aquafit session at 8pm.
LiveWire will be joining millions of people all over the world who come together to celebrate International Women’s Day every year as they recognise the cultural and political achievements of women.
This year’s theme is gender parity for women.
Louise Shannon, health and inclusion engagement officer at LiveWire, said: “LiveWire is celebrating International Women’s Day 2016 by encouraging women and girls to come and try out some female only sessions.
“Bring your sister, your mother, your gran or your best friend to try out one of the special classes.”
Classes held at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub are free for LiveWire members. Non-members can still take part by booking online or calling 01925 572504.
