Wolves name squad for Super League opener

WARRINGTON Wolves have named a 19-man squad for their Super League opener against champions Leeds on Thursday.

The Wolves travel to Headingley in the curtain raiser for the new campaign, live on Sky Sports.

New signings Kurt Gidley, Jack Hughes, Jordan Cox, Tom Lineham, Joe Westerman and Benjamin Julien are all included.

Warrington won both regular season visits between the two sides last season, but lost 49-10 in the Super 8s meeting.

Notable absentees are Ryan Atkins and Stefan Ratchford, both still recovering from injury, while new signing Mitchell Dodds is also missing.
