FIREFIGHTERS were called to help rescue a horse which was stuck down a ditch in Lower Rake Lane, Frodsham, today, Wednesday.
Members from the animal rescue unit from Knutsford were also in attendance as the crew constructed a step from an embankment to the waters edge to get to the animal and also dug away part of the embankment.
A vet was in attendance along with the owner.
