Man trapped after car crash in Frodsham

POLICE and firefighters were called to a road traffic collision at Frodsham in the early hours of today.
The collision was on the A56 and the Chester Road/Clifton Road Junction and an injured man  was trapped in a car.
Firefighters using special cutting gear to free the casualty who was then handed over to paramedics and taken to hospital.
The extent of his injuries are not yet known.
Fire engines from Frodsham and Runcorn attended the incident.
