CENTRE Chris Bridge will leave Warrington Wolves to join Super League rivals Widnes from next season.

Bridge, 31, was out of contract at the end of 2014, and will link up with the Vikings on a two-year deal.

He said: “I am really looking forward to playing for Widnes Vikings. I’ve spoken to Denis Betts and to Brett Hodgson and I am looking forward to the new challenge.

“It will be great to play alongside Kevin Brown and Rhys Hanbury and it sounds like there are some exciting plans to mix things up a bit next year.

“From what I’ve seen the style of play will suit me. The centres seem to get a lot of ball so I am looking forward to getting stuck in.

“I am fully committed to Warrington Wolves for the rest of this year. I am working hard to get back to 100% so I can make a big contribution in the games we have got left.

“I am hoping to go out with a bang after 10 seasons with the club and I am hoping to get a couple more winners medals before I start my new and exciting challenge with Widnes Vikings.”
