PUPILS at Frodsham CE Primary School played host to two teachers from the Solomon Islands – and are now looking forward to writing to their pupils.
Through the Chester Diocese, the Frodsham school has links with St Francis School, Vaturanga in the Solomon Islands, and were very happy to welcome their teachers to Frodsham.
Headteacher Mrs Lucy Kirby said “We learned so much about their school and life on the Solomon Islands.
“Salome and Margaret were both very grateful for the warm welcome they received and learned a lot about our education system and took lots of ideas away with them.
“It was great for our children and staff to discover what was so similar about our schools and also how they were so different.
“We learned just how fortunate we are to have so many resources, not just books and computers but even the luxury of tables and chairs!
“The children are now looking forward to writing to the pupils at St Francis School and continuing to develop links in the future.”
