Frodsham bow out of T20 cup

FRODSHAM bowed out of the Cheshire Cricket Alliance T20 competition at the hands of Westminster Park.
The Chester side batted first and hit 138-6. Frodsham could only reach 105-7 in their 20 overs.
In the TACS Partnership Cheshire League, Kingsley lost by just three runs after an exciting climax at Stockport Trinity.
The home side batted first and totalled 168, Ben Stoddart taking 3-34.
Stoddart was again in form with the bat, hitting 63 but even with an unbeaten innings of 41 from Travis Martin, Kingsley fell just short on 165.
Kingsley 2nd went down at home to Langley who batted first and reached 169-8. Andrew Bratt was Kingsley’s most effective bowler with 4-26. Kingsley subsided for 105, Steve Forster top scoring with 28.
In the Vivio Cheshire County League, Alvanley set a formidable target of 256-7 when they entertained Northwich. Mike Rowlands top scored with 55, but there were a number of sound batting performances.
Northwich went for the runs but had to settle for a draw on 226-8, Kenny Roberts taking 3-41.
