“Don’t let yourself be bullied” says ex-Mayor

MEMBERS of Frodsham Town Council have been urged not to allow themselves to be “intimidated, bullied or shouted down” by any disruptive influence on the council.
The advice came from outgoing Mayor Allen Wales – who lost his council seat in the May elections – at the annual meeting of the council.
Cllr  Fran Sutton was installed as Mayor of Frodsham for the coming 12 months, following a year as Deputy Mayor.
She paid tribute to Mr Wales who, she said, had represented Frodsham at home and abroad in a quiet and dignified way.
“I will endeavour to do the same,” she said.
Mr Wales said it had been an honour and a privilege to be Mayor of Frodsham.
He said he had attended 75 events as Mayor and paid tribute to the council’s staff, who ensured the council operated in a proper manner.
Mr Wales also paid tribute to former councillor Pammi Taylor who, he said, had been a “rock” on the council for many years. She had put in hundreds of hours in checking that things were done properly and her experience would be sorely missed.
New councillors should not be afraid of going to her for help and advice as he was sure she would be pleased to help.
Cllr Mike Pusey was elected as the new Deputy Mayor.
