WARRINGTON Head of coaching Tony Smith says he has a “nice selection headache” ahead of Thursday night’s play off clash with
Huddersfield Giants in the first Qualifying Semi Final.
Smith has named his “starting 19” and faces a selection headache on which two players to cut from the squad, with Trent Waterhouse his main injury concern.
The sides have met three times this year; twice in the league and once in the cup, with the Wolves coming away as winners on every occasion.
Smith said: “We’ve reached the exciting part of the year where everybody; fans, coaches and players alike are on the edge of their seats with expectations of high quality Rugby League. The fact that we got this far meant that we’d be playing tough opposition whichever team we faced; we realised and expected that and look forward to the challenge it will bring. Huddersfield have had a terrific season and deserve all the plaudits that they’ve gained so far. Hopefully we can maintain our recent good form and take that into the match on Thursday.”
