Wolves boss's healthy respect for Wigan

WARRINGTON Wolves boss Tony Smith says he has a “healthy respect” for Wigan as he announced his 19 man squad for Monday’s clash with their table topping near neighbours, kick-off 7.45pm.
Matches between these two sides are always highly anticipated encounters and victory is a must for the Wolves if they are to stay in touch with the table topping Warriors, who have been the form side of the season so far.
The last match between these two sides back in Round 2 ended in a draw and the Wolves’ boss is expecting another entertaining clash between the two north-west sides.
Smith, (pictured right) said”I think Monday’s is a fantastic, mouth-watering fixture that should produce, as per normal, a really high standard of competition and these are the sorts of games that most Rugby League fans look forward to. We have a healthy respect for Wigan; we had a draw earlier in the season but both teams have improved since then.
“Wigan have been the most consistent performing team in the competition so far but I’d like to think that our form has built and improved steadily since our last encounter and hopefully we can produce our best form of the year. If we do so it gives us an opportunity to possibly win the game.”
