CULCHETH and Glazebury Parish Council has lodged an objection to a plan to create an agricultural access, including a gate, through the garden of a detached house.
The property is in Fowley Common Lane, Glazebury and the parish council argues that the lane is too narrow, already suffers from on-street parking and that the access will make existing highway problems worse.
But planning officers say some vehicle activity already takes place at the location, traffic speeds are expected to be low and the access point itself benefits from permitted development rights and does not need planning permission.
A neighbour has commented that he has no objections, provided no new buildings are proposed at a later date.
A report to Warrington’s planning committee indicates that the access is required to serve a field at the rear of the house.
