Hunt for jewel raiders

DETECTIVES in Warrington are appealing for information following a burglary involving the theft of valuable watches and jewellery from a home at Castle Green in the town.
Items of jewellery were stolen in the incident, which took place between 7.30pm and 10.30pm on Friday, March 15 after raiders gained access to the property via an upstairs window.
Items stolen include watches, rings, earrings and necklaces.
Officers are currently carrying out a number of enquiries in a bid to trace those responsible and to recover the stolen items.
DC Nat Lewis, who is investigating the incident, said: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened or has any information, which might assist with our enquiries, to come forward.
“We would also urge anyone who has any information regarding those responsible to get in touch.”
The stolen items include two Omega Constellation Watches, three Tissot watches and a Seiko Prestige Watch. A number of gold jewellery sets consisting of a ring, earrings and a necklace were also taken.
DC Lewis added: “We are doing everything we can to trace the items and return them to their rightful owner and we are also appealing to anyone who has any information regarding the whereabouts of the stolen items or anyone who is offered any jewellery similar to the items mentioned to get in touch.”
Anyone with any information, which might assist officers with their enquiries, is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 1120 of 15 March or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
