Fire crews tackle kitchen blaze

FIRE crews were called to a house fire at Longford, Warrington.
The blaze involved a cooker in the kitchen at the house in Northway and firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, tackled it with a hose reel jet.
A ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the property. No-one was hurt.
Two fire engines were involved in the operation.
