Edwards enters Hall of Fame

WARRINGTON Rugby League legend Jackie Edwards was inducted into the Warrington Past Players Hall of Fame at the annual Past Players Dinner held at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Half back Jackie is pictured (above right) receiving his certificate from former Wire prop forward Alistair Brindle watched his son Shaun Edwards, the former Wigan and Great Britain half back and who is now coaching with the Welsh Rugby Union team.
Below he is pictured in try scoring action against Hull FC.

  1. Nice memories of Jackie. On the side, I was in the same class at Beamont as Alistair Brindle and I still shiver at the thought of trying to tackle him during class sports !!!!

  2. played a few games with Jackie in the early 60 great scrum-half was just unlucky to be around in Alex murphy era otherwise, he would have won international honours and toured. Jackie was as tough as they come the bigger they were the harder they fall was jackie way of thinking alway liked him he was my type of man
