Recycling sites to change

TEN recycling sites across Warrington have closed – but 15 others have been upgraded to become “super” recycling sites.
The super sites will be able to recycle additional items such as glass bottles, cans, plastic bottles, tetra pak cartons, textiles and shoes.
Residents can also take any extra recyclable waste to any of the Community Recycling Centres at Gatewarth, Woolston and Stockton Heath.
The sites which have become “super” sites are: Forge Car Park, Hatton Arms, Sainsbury’s, Church Street, Burtonwood Community Centre, Raven Pub, Warrington Road, Jolly Fallstaff Pub, Tesco, Winwick Road, Davies Way Car Park,, Woodlands Pub, Liverpool Road, The Maltings Pub, Old Hall Road, Hoop and Mallet Pub, Cllands Road, B and Q, Delph Lane, Newton Road, General Elliot Pub, Croft,
Bents Garden Centre, Warrington Road, Glazebury and Nelsons Quarter Deck Pub, Birchwood.
Smaller recycling sites which have closed are: Asda Westbrook, Riverside Retail Park, Walton Hall, Village Hotel, St Joseph’s Club, Winwick Leisure Centre, Marsh Street, Alford Hall, Jolly Thresher and Culcheth Sports Club.
It is also one month to go before fortnightly black bin collections start to roll out across Warrington.
