WARRINGTON Wolves’ boss Tony Smith has announced his squad to kick off their 2013 Super League campaign this Sunday when they host Castleford Tigers, kick-off 3pm.
Warrington have won their last seven meetings against Castleford with the Tigers’ last win coming 28-6 at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Easter Monday, 2009.
Smith said: “We’re excited about the new campaign arriving and about what we’d like to achieve this year. We are certainly excited about Sunday’s game kicking off our season at home which I think is really important. We’ve done a lot of hard work in the pre-season and it’s now time for that to kick into gear.
“Castleford have probably had as many changes in personnel as any team in the competition so they are a bit of an unknown quantity. They started the season pretty well last year so we are expecting a really tough game but if we are able to perform like we are capable of, it could be a tough game for Castleford too.”
