Busy week for Bennie

WARRINGTON Wolves popular forward Bennie Westwood faces a busy week for his testimonial as he returns from warm weather training in Tenerife, although a question mark hangs over Saturday’s game v Wigan due to the pitch being covered with snow.
Bennie (pictured right)continues with his testimonial year with a signing session at Wolfware at the Halliwell Jones Stadium tomorrow, Wednesday (Jan 23r) from 3pm to 5pm.
Specially commissioned testimonial shirts and brochures will be on sale.
Later the same day he will be a guest on the panel for a ‘Gerrum on Side’ Testimonial Special for Wire FM. The panel also features Jon Wilkin currently enjoying his own testimonial at St Helens, Shaun Briscoe from Widnes Vikings and Andy Coley, now Welfare manager at Wigan Warriors.
The event takes place at Baffito’s Bar and Pizzeria, Time Square Warrington at 7pm. The event is free but places are limited so please arrive early. The Challenge Cup will be on display from 6.30pm.

Then on Thursday (Jan 24) Brain Carney of Sky TV will host a Comedy Curry night at the Halliwell Jones Stadium. Brian will have conversations with special guests Adrian Morley, Jamie Peacock, Sam Tomkins and Bennie Westwood. Comedian is Frankie Allen. Tickets are priced at £30 each.
Then subject to a pitch inspection, on Saturday (Jan 26) is the eagerly awaited Super Bennie Westwood Testimonial Betfred Challenge at the Halliwell Jones stadium versus Wigan Warriors kick off 3pm.
Tickets priced from just £5 can be ordered on line from Wolfware on line. Hospitality packages are also available.
Turnstiles will also be open on match day for cash sales. Both Tony Smith and Shaun Wane are expected to field strong sides ahead of the start of Super League XVIII. There is also a half time touch rugby game featuring legends of Warrington and Wigan.
