Office building hit by fire

FIRE experts are today investigating the cause of a fire at an office building at Warrington.
The blaze was at Cinnamon House, in Crab Lane, Fearnhead shortly before midnight.
Fire crews arrived at the scene and called for reinforcements after seeing smoke pouring from first floor windows because it was believed people could be trapped inside.
Crews from Birchwood and Warrington were involved.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the building and located the fire in a ceiling void on the first floor. It was extinguished with a hose reel jet. No persons were found on the premises.
A ventilation unit was used to clear dense smoke from the property and the building was surveyed to check for further sources of fire. The site security team was called in to secure the building.
