POLICE at Warrington are appealing for information following the theft of a high value road bike.
The cycle was stolen from a shed at a house in Falmouth Drive, Penketh sometime between the evening of Thursday, January 3 and the morning of Friday, January 4.
Raiders broke into the shed and took the bike, which is “champagne” in colour, with blue transfers, white writing and blue tyres.
PC Simon Dadswell of Warrington West Neighbourhood Policing Unit, said: “The bike holds much sentimental value to its owner, a 72-year-old man, who is keen to have it returned to him.
“We appeal for anyone with any information about the theft, or who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident, to contact us.”
Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
