Nominated for drama awards

THREE members of the Bridgewater Players have been nominated for national awards following their first production of the winter season, “Steel Magnolias.”
The play was entered into the National Operatic and Dramatic Association ( NODA) drama festival and the society has been informed of the nominations.
Producer Ian Hornby has been nominated in the best director of a drama category, Kelly Jane Sergeant as best actress in a drama and Norma Dransfield
for best supporting female.
The awards will be announced at a dinner in a couple of weeks.
Bridgewater Players’ next production will be a comedy, “A battle of wills” by Martin Ladbrook, and is due to be staged at Thelwall Parish Hall on February 14, 15 and 16.
It is being directed by Norma Dransfield.
The society’s final production of the season will be on April 18, 19 and 20 and will be a comedy called “The Hex Factor” written and directed by Ian Hornby.
