Wolves win Boxing Day derby

WARRINGTON Wolves young guns came through 22-30 against a strong Widnes line up at the Stobart Stadium in the traditional Boxing Day pre-season friendly.
The Wolves scored five tries to four on their way to victory with youngster Gareth O’Brien landing five goals.
Warrington’s tries came from Garreth Carvell, James Mendeika, Mike Cooper, Ben Currie and Micky Higham.
Widnes scored tries through Danny Craven (two), Patrick Ah Van and Gareth Owens, who also kicked three goals.
