Police appeal after suspicious fire

POLICE at Warrington are appealing for help from the public following a suspicious fire.
The front door of a property in Boydell Avenue was badly damaged, although the occupant managed to extinguish the flames before more serious damage was caused. No-one was injured.
DC Rebecca Dixon, of Warrington CID, said: “Had the fire not been put out so quickly, the consequences could have been far worse.
“We would ask that anyone with any information contact Cheshire Police on 101 and information can also be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
The incident was between 4.45am and 5.15am on Saturday December 1.
